This is another one of my little 5″x5″ oil on canvas pieces. I’m still playing with complementary colours and the classic pairing of red and green. For the green in this painting I decided to work with decorative kale. They can be so attractive, you can have ones that look like roses! This one continues to have a post impressionist influence on the more modern abstracted tiled background. The bright colours and textures in this piece are a fun treat to...

This piece was made for a beautiful rainbow themed wedding in June 2016. Every groomsman was assigned a different colour and a hand beaded boutonniere was made for each. This one is a lovely royal blue colour. These looked an absolute treat against the boys suits. Due to the nature of the bead embroidery every single Czech glass seed bead in these pieces needed to be individually stitched into place with my own two hands.

This thick textured work makes up another piece in my first oil painting series exploring complementary colour relationships using florals and botanicals on tiled abstracted backgrounds. This one is a tiny little 5″x5′ canvas. On the old colour wheel the complement of purple is yellow, so that is what I am playing around with here. I wanted to use some rich tones in this piece, really firing up those bright colours. I’m quite a fan of impressionism...

This is one of my very special pieces. Every flower and leaf in this piece was created out of seedbeads with my own two hands and then arranged the way a floral designer might into a stunning heirloom sculptural piece. I spent some time looking into floral design and popular bouquet and floral choices for weddings before diving into this work. While working on this piece I taught myself a pattern for creating beaded calla lillies. I estimate that I spent between 35 and 40...

These earrings are a bold statement piece that could be worn with a nice outfit for an evening out or to dress up casual day to day wear for a funky look. The colour palette is a little different than you’ll see in a lot of my jewelry – with the bolder darker tones, but this piece was just too gorgeous not to include in my collection. Peacock coloured seed beads and clear seed beads have been strung onto wire and attached to stainless steel ear wires. Like all...

This is another piece from my first oil painting series. Its a little 5″x5″ oil on canvas painting. In this work I am continuing to explore complementary colour relationships. So, in the modern colour wheel the complement of green is magenta. This is a softer tone than many of the other pieces in this exploratory series. On the traditional colour wheel the complement of green is red. Magenta can seem like a softer version of red (it isn’t really, but it...
