This piece is an 8″x8″ oil on canvas painting continuing to explore the themes of complementary colours. On the newer colour wheel the complement of magenta is green. I wanted to make something with a magenta background and green foreground. Succulents are so charming, so I thought it would be nice to make a piece with a succulent as the focal element. I’m happy with how this one turned out, very fun, bold and decorative. The thicker textures present throughout this series again find their way in here.
